Over the course of 13 weeks\, students conceptualize and develop their own business ventures guided by JA Company Program curriculum and mentors. DESCRIPTION:“Freelance” Day in BizTown is for 4th-6th graders to take part in our McGrath Family JA BizTown program. This provides students the opportunity to join our program and be part of the BizTown community outside of school activities.\nThe McGrath Family JA BizTown is a 10\,000 square foot mini-city where you will discover how to start and run a profitable business. Students will become a BizTown “citizen” and work a job at one of 21 life-sized San Diego businesses. They will earn paychecks\, open bank accounts\, pay taxes\, vote\, and are challenged to earn a profit in your business.\nThe JA BizTown curriculum will be taught via Zoom by JA staff during the months of April and May to prepare for the simulation.
